The Fall of Babylon

18After all this I saw another angel come down from heaven with great authority, and the earth grew bright with his splendor.G2532G3326G5023G1492G243G32G2597G1537G3772G2192G3173G1849G2532G1093G5461G1537G846G1391 2He gave a mighty shout: "Babylon is fallen—that great city is fallen! She has become a home for demons. She is a hideout for every foulc spirit, a hideout for every foul vulture and every foul and dreadful animal.G2532G2896G2479G1722G3173G5456G3004G897G3173G4098G4098G2532G1096G2732G1142G2532G5438G3956G169G4151G2532G5438G3956G169G2532G3404G3732 3For all the nations have fallenc because of the wine of her passionate immorality. The kings of the world have committed adultery with her. Because of her desires for extravagant luxury, the merchants of the world have grown rich."G3754G3956G1484G4095G1537G3631G2372G846G4202G2532G935G1093G4203G3326G846G2532G1713G1093G4147G1537G1411G846G4764 4Then I heard another voice calling from heaven, "Come away from her, my people. Do not take part in her sins, or you will be punished with her.G2532G191G243G5456G1537G3772G3004G1831G1537G846G3450G2992G3363G4790G3363G4790G846G266G2532G3363G2983G3363G1537G846G4127 5For her sins are piled as high as heaven, and God remembers her evil deeds.G3754G846G266G190G2853G891G3772G2532G2316G3421G846G92 6Do to her as she has done to others. Double her penaltyc for all her evil deeds. She brewed a cup of terror for others, so brew twice as much.G591G846G2532G5613G846G3778G591G5213G2532G1363G846G1362G2596G846G2041G1722G4221G3739G2767G2767G846G1362 7She glorified herself and lived in luxury, so match it now with torment and sorrow. She boasted in her heart, 'I am queen on my throne. I am no helpless widow, and I have no reason to mourn.'G3745G1392G1438G2532G4763G5118G929G2532G3997G1325G846G3754G3004G1722G846G2588G2521G938G2532G1510G3756G5503G2532G1492G3364G3997 8Therefore, these plagues will overtake her in a single day—death and mourning and famine. She will be completely consumed by fire, for the Lord God who judges her is mighty."G5124G1223G2240G846G4127G2240G1722G3391G2250G2288G2532G3997G2532G3042G2532G2618G1722G4442G3754G2478G2962G2316G3588G2919G846 9And the kings of the world who committed adultery with her and enjoyed her great luxury will mourn for her as they see the smoke rising from her charred remains.G2532G935G1093G3588G4203G2532G4763G3326G846G2799G846G2532G2875G1909G846G3752G991G2586G846G4451 10They will stand at a distance, terrified by her great torment. They will cry out, "How terrible, how terrible for you, O Babylon, you great city! In a single moment God's judgment came on you."G2476G3113G575G1223G5401G846G929G3004G3759G3759G3173G4172G897G2478G4172G3754G1722G3391G5610G2064G4675G2920G2064 11The merchants of the world will weep and mourn for her, for there is no one left to buy their goods.G2532G1713G1093G2799G2532G3996G1909G846G3754G3762G59G846G1117G3765 12She bought great quantities of gold, silver, jewels, and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk, and scarlet cloth; things made of fragrant thyine wood, ivory goods, and objects made of expensive wood; and bronze, iron, and marble.G1117G5557G2532G696G2532G5093G3037G2532G3135G2532G1040G2532G4209G2532G4596G2532G2847G2532G3956G2367G3586G2532G3956G4632G1661G2532G3956G4632G1537G5093G3586G2532G5475G2532G4604G2532G3139 13She also bought cinnamon, spice, incense, myrrh, frankincense, wine, olive oil, fine flour, wheat, cattle, sheep, horses, chariots, and bodies—that is, human slaves.G2532G2792G2532G2368G2532G3464G2532G3030G2532G3631G2532G1637G2532G4585G2532G4621G2532G2934G2532G4263G2532G2462G2532G4480G2532G4983G2532G5590G444 14"The fancy things you loved so much are gone," they cry. "All your luxuries and splendor are gone forever, never to be yours again."G2532G3703G4675G5590G1939G565G575G4675G2532G3956G3588G3045G2532G2986G565G575G4675G2532G2147G846G3765G3364 15The merchants who became wealthy by selling her these things will stand at a distance, terrified by her great torment. They will weep and cry out,G1713G5130G3588G4147G575G846G2476G3113G575G1223G5401G846G929G2799G2532G3996 16"How terrible, how terrible for that great city! She was clothed in finest purple and scarlet linens, decked out with gold and precious stones and pearls!G2532G3004G3759G3759G3173G4172G4016G1039G2532G4210G2532G2847G2532G5558G1722G5557G2532G5093G3037G2532G3135 17In a single moment all the wealth of the city is gone!" And all the captains of the merchant ships and their passengers and sailors and crews will stand at a distance.G3754G3391G5610G5118G4149G2049G2532G3956G2942G2532G3956G3658G1909G4143G2532G3492G2532G3745G2038G2281G2476G3113G575 18They will cry out as they watch the smoke ascend, and they will say, "Where is there another city as great as this?"G2532G2896G3708G2586G846G4451G3004G5101G3664G3173G4172 19And they will weep and throw dust on their heads to show their grief. And they will cry out, "How terrible, how terrible for that great city! The shipowners became wealthy by transporting her great wealth on the seas. In a single moment it is all gone."G2532G906G5522G1909G846G2776G2532G2896G2799G2532G3996G3004G3759G3759G3173G4172G1722G3739G4147G3956G2192G4143G1722G2281G1537G846G5094G3754G3391G5610G2049 20Rejoice over her fate, O heaven and people of God and apostles and prophets! For at last God has judged her for your sakes.G2165G1909G846G3772G2532G40G652G2532G4396G3754G2316G2917G2919G5216G1537G846 21Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a huge millstone. He threw it into the ocean and shouted, "Just like this, the great city Babylon will be thrown down with violence and will never be found again.G2532G1520G2478G32G142G3037G5613G3173G3458G2532G906G1519G2281G3004G3779G3731G906G3173G4172G897G906G2532G2147G3364G2089 22The sound of harps, singers, flutes, and trumpets will never be heard in you again. No craftsmen and no trades will ever be found in you again. The sound of the mill will never be heard in you again.G2532G5456G2790G2532G3451G2532G834G2532G4538G191G3364G2089G1722G4671G2532G3364G3956G5079G3956G5078G2147G2089G1722G4671G2532G5456G3458G191G3364G2089G1722G4671 23The light of a lamp will never shine in you again. The happy voices of brides and grooms will never be heard in you again. For your merchants were the greatest in the world, and you deceived the nations with your sorceries.G2532G5457G3088G5316G3364G2089G1722G4671G2532G5456G3566G2532G3565G191G3364G2089G1722G4671G3754G4675G1713G2258G3175G1093G3754G1722G4675G5331G4105G3956G1484G4105 24In yourc streets flowed the blood of the prophets and of God's holy people and the blood of people slaughtered all over the world."G2532G1722G846G2147G129G4396G2532G40G2532G3956G4969G1909G1093

Songs of Victory in Heaven

19After this, I heard what sounded like a vast crowd in heaven shouting, "Praise the LORD!c Salvation and glory and power belong to our God.G2532G3326G5023G191G3173G5456G4183G3793G1722G3772G3004G239G4991G2532G1391G2532G5092G2532G1411G2962G2257G2316 2His judgments are true and just. He has punished the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her immorality. He has avenged the murder of his servants."G3754G228G2532G1342G846G2920G3754G2919G3173G4204G3748G5351G1093G1722G846G4202G2532G1556G129G846G1401G1537G846G5495 3And again their voices rang out: "Praise the LORD! The smoke from that city ascends forever and ever!"G2532G1208G2046G239G2532G846G2586G305G1519G165G165 4Then the twenty-four elders and the four living beings fell down and worshiped God, who was sitting on the throne. They cried out, "Amen! Praise the LORD!"G2532G5064G2532G1501G4245G2532G5064G2226G4098G2532G4352G2316G2521G1909G2362G3004G281G239 5And from the throne came a voice that said, "Praise our God, all his servants, all who fear him, from the least to the greatest."G2532G5456G1831G1537G2362G3004G134G2257G2316G3956G846G1401G2532G5399G846G2532G3398G2532G3173 6Then I heard again what sounded like the shout of a vast crowd or the roar of mighty ocean waves or the crash of loud thunder: "Praise the LORD! For the Lord our Godc, the Almighty, reigns.G2532G191G5613G5456G4183G3793G2532G5613G5456G4183G5204G2532G5613G5456G2478G1027G3004G239G3754G2962G2316G3841G936 7Let us be glad and rejoice, and let us give honor to him. For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and his bride has prepared herself.G5463G2532G21G2532G1325G1391G846G3754G1062G721G2064G2532G846G1135G2090G1438G2090 8She has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear." For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God's holy people.G2532G846G1325G2443G4016G1039G2513G2532G2986G1063G1039G2076G1345G40 9And the angel said to me, "Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb." And he added, These are true words that come from God."G2532G3004G3427G1125G3107G2564G1519G1062G1173G721G2532G3004G3427G3778G1526G228G3056G2316 10Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said, "No, don't worship me. I am a servant of God, just like you and your brothers and sistersc who testify about their faith in Jesus. Worship only God. For the essence of prophecy is to give a clear witness for Jesus."G2532G4098G1715G846G4228G4352G846G2532G3004G3427G3708G3361G1510G4675G4889G2532G4675G80G2192G3141G2424G4352G2316G1063G3141G2424G2076G4151G4394

The Rider on the White Horse

11Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war.G2532G1492G3772G455G2532G2400G3022G2462G2532G2521G1909G846G2564G4103G2532G228G2532G1722G1343G2919G2532G4170 12His eyes were like flames of fire, and on his head were many crowns. A name was written on him that no one understood except himself.G1161G846G3788G5613G5395G4442G2532G1909G846G2776G4183G1238G2192G3686G1125G3739G3762G1492G1508G846 13He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his title was the Word of God.G2532G4016G2440G911G129G2532G846G3686G2564G3056G2316 14The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed him on white horses.G2532G4753G3588G1722G3772G190G846G1909G3022G2462G1746G1039G3022G2532G2513 15From his mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress.G2532G1537G846G4750G1607G3691G4501G2443G1722G846G3960G1484G2532G846G4165G846G1722G4464G4603G2532G846G3961G3025G3631G2372G2532G3709G3841G2316 16On his robe at his thighc was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords.G2532G2192G1909G2440G2532G1909G846G3382G3686G1125G935G935G2532G2962G2962 17Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, shouting to the vultures flying high in the sky: "Come! Gather together for the great banquet God has prepared.G2532G1492G1520G32G2476G1722G2246G2532G2896G3173G5456G3004G3956G3732G4072G1722G3321G1205G2532G4863G1519G1173G3173G2316 18Come and eat the flesh of kings, generals, and strong warriors; of horses and their riders; and of all humanity, both free and slave, small and great."G2443G5315G4561G935G2532G4561G5506G2532G4561G2478G2532G4561G2462G2532G2521G1909G846G2532G4561G3956G1658G2532G1401G2532G3398G2532G3173 19Then I saw the beast and the kings of the world and their armies gathered together to fight against the one sitting on the horse and his army.G2532G1492G2342G2532G935G1093G2532G846G4753G4863G4160G4171G3326G2521G1909G2462G2532G3326G846G4753 20And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who did mighty miracles on behalf of the beast—miracles that deceived all who had accepted the mark of the beast and who worshiped his statue. Both the beast and his false prophet were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.G2532G2342G4084G2532G3326G5127G5578G4160G4592G1799G846G1722G3739G4105G2983G5480G2342G2532G4352G846G1504G1417G906G2198G1519G3041G4442G2545G1722G2303 21Their entire army was killed by the sharp sword that came from the mouth of the one riding the white horse. And the vultures all gorged themselves on the dead bodies.G2532G3062G615G1722G4501G2521G1909G2462G3588G1607G1537G846G4750G2532G3956G3732G5526G1537G846G4561
